Our founding Physicians met while taking care of acute hospitalized patients at a community Hospital in suburban Milwaukee. They were puzzled by the amount of readmission they each received day after day. Often enough they would care for the same patient 2-3 times monthly. It is at that time they began to ponder improvement to the post acute care model. Soon they embarked on the journey to partner in a company that specializes in Post acute Care. They brought the Hospitalist model to the post acute care. Their treat in place model was a success and led to dramatic reduction in readmission. During this period our COO,  a business specialist and passionate entrepreneur, believed that dedicated expert physicians supported by state-of-the-art technology would be the key to expanding upon this successful model and the idea for eMD Live was soon a reality.

By utilizing the eMD Live system, the Company’s clients have increased their census, reimbursement, and patient satisfaction across the board. eMD Live physicians have continued to follow the treat in place model thus treating thousands of complex medical conditions onsite, avoiding a hospital admission.
